Things I Should've Said
Things I Should've Said is a series of ink paintings that take on issues of sexism and racism. Each piece addresses an instance when someone made either a racist or sexist comment, and instead of saying something to them, I said nothing. The works are titled as those instances, to give context, and within the art is the response I should've said. The style of the ink work is colorful, soft and fluid, while the typography is bold and confronting; much like what a female is expected to be versus what she may say.
